When in Ocean City, Maryland join us by taking a tour of the Life-Saving Station Museum. You’ll find captivating exhibits featuring the history of the U.S. Life-Saving Service and Ocean City History. Other displays include; "Surfs Up! - Riding the Waves of Change", "The Boardwalk of Yesterday", "Sands of the World", and much more. Aquariums featuring local marine life are a favorite for young and old alike. There is something here for everyone. The meticulously restored building that was once scheduled for demolition, is now a monument to Ocean City History.

A wonderful little museum and a great way to spend an hour in Ocean City. I especially appreciated learning that the building originally served as a U.S. Life-Saving Service station, where crews were responsible for rescuing shipwrecked sailors long before the modern Coast Guard existed. It was also fascinating to see how this historic station, built in 1891, continues to preserve the maritime history of the area.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the exhibits are full of interesting artifacts, stories and local history. If you are in the area, I can definitely recommend stopping by. An enjoyable, educational and very easy way to spend some time while visiting Ocean City.

Very nice museum. I really like their mini aquarium. There is also a creepy laughing doll on the top floor that I’ll never forget 😂 the very sweet man that works in the gift shop is knowledgeable and easy to talk to as well. I highly recommend visiting this museum, it has a lot of detailed history about OCMD and the staff is wonderful. It has nice views of the inlet too.

Just stopped here on Monday. My son and I went in and I believe it was one of my favorite parts of the beach. Learned some stuff and had some laughs with my kid at the old fashioned swimsuits. The man working the front desk was nothing but helpful and kind. We talked a little bit and made sure to tell us about the other location a few blocks down and even gave me a free pass. We never got down to that one and I was bummed but either way. The $6 entry fee plus free to anyone 11 and under like my son was was an easy decision. I recommend this place greatly. I hope more people come and check it out if this is your kind of thing! Thank you!
